The heart had just started beating fast
The naive smile had just started
Gaining the secretive touch.
The chatter between the glances had
Started gaining speed.
The vows of endless commitment
Were yet to be exchanged.
The storm in the lives of the countless
Arrived in the form of the pandemic.
Locked inside houses
With no chances of rendezvous,
The feeling simmered ,boiled and overflowed.
The lava of desires couldn’t comeout and flow.
The tears and the sighs,
Fighting oneself with why not and whys.
The raging passion cooled down
Into icy cold down stares.
And when the normal life resumed, all was over
And the routine life happened.
Fighting oneself with why not and whys.
The raging passion cooled down
Into icy cold down stares…
So much of expectation, passion, all abruptly coming to an end … the harsh reality of so many …
