A palace ramshackle and old

My taut neck, heavy with a thought
To lay my hands on a palace
Ramshackle and old
Of bygone days my ancestors
In regal robes their large figures
With guns and swords
Rifles and tigers
Bygones , only bygones !
I can , I can only think of
My family, my little one
As he grows up
One day to find a treasure trove
His father had so lovingly left
For him , silver a silhouette  …

I must say a big ‘Thank you’ Sir for the apt title ! your words are, as always, evocative-so much so , that hardly a day goes by without a glance at the DP (The Destiny Poets ) .
