A Book

You can’t place a flimsy bookmark
Between the pages of her life:
You must read her

Between hardbound covers
Without the semblance of a pause
Without dog-earing her thoughts.

She knows her style will survive
A million readers and more
Being always but herself and no one else.

She is the prologue and the epilogue
Of every poignant story ever told
And God has written her blurb.
