The Puppet – 3

When I was resurrected
From the old box under
The dark staircase, he had
The colour of my past;
My sweet puppeteer steered
Me well past my breath;
I scraped my locked knees
Despite the strings…
But I rule the beholder’s eyes,
As they move with me onstage;
But when the past takes
A front seat in the backstage,
All you can do is… keep playing…

    An intriguing,if somewhat at times disconcerting perspective on personal relationships.Neatly worked like a mise-en-scene from a Hitchcock movie.
