The dreams wane away ~
I cannot trace them back
To the blackness they lived in;
If I could, I would have known
The darkness behind my closed eyes
And the pure depth of my sleep…
If I could, I would have seen
The strange immaterials
That build me from inside…
If I could, I would have found
The little fears that aggregate
Around my heart, feigning courage…
If I could, I would have learnt
The sounds that form visions
That you can never erase…
If I could, I would have discovered
Where I used to be, and where I’m now
In this vast, narrow-minded world…
If I could, I would’ve groped my way back
To light, just to realize that, unlike before,
There’s much more to appreciate here…

Good poem.
This poem’s repetition of ” If I could,I would ” ,reminds the casual reader of the pop classic Simon & Garfunkel song , ” El Condor Pasa “
