( – a collaboration by Sangeeta Talwar Suneja & A.V. Koshy )
The drawing was made by Sangeeta Talwar Suneja to accompany this poem of mine.
White Mass
on a white night
while white dwarves
white dervishes, swirled white hot distances away
she, in an immaculate white gown, white-crossed, white-diamonded
in a white church
carrying white orchids, white crysanthemums
and white roses
in a white basket
waited for her apparelled- in- impeccable- white groom
while nearby white tombstones and white angels with white crossed wings, near white lampposts
remained still
and on the wall of the church
for some strange reason
a single white skull under a white bulb
grinned whitely down on the whole
white shrouded- in- snow- outside white night scene
